Microsoft Senior Consultant

**Lux-Advisory **is a company specialized in finance and project management. Our consultants take part
in European or International missions and projects. To support the increase of our activity, we are
currently looking for a** Microsoft Senior Consultant.**

**Context**
Our Client has launched a strategic project to migrate data and IT infrastructure from its private cloud
identified a possible migration plan and approach. We are now preparing a detailed procurement
procedure which will select a managed service provider (Cloud Management Provider) who will be
responsible for the migration and ongoing cloud operations. The Cloud Management Provider will be
responsible for the management of all Microsoft public cloud services, including Microsoft 365 which
has recently been implemented. There will therefore be a transition of services from our existing
managed service provider once the Cloud Management Provider is contracted.
The strategy is to leverage investment in the Microsoft Public Cloud. As well as Microsoft Azure and
M365. We are also using the Power Platform to automate business processes, we expect to deploy
other Microsoft Cloud services in line with business needs. Overall familiarity and competence with all
Microsoft cloud services will be considered an advantage.
Given limited internal resources and expertise with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and other
Microsoft public cloud services, we seek a senior Consultant to support our Client in preparing, and
supporting the execution of the procurement procedure as well as the onboarding of the future
Managed Service Provider. In parallel the Consultant will support the team in planning and executing
all necessary technical, governance and other preparatory activities relevant for a public cloud
migration.
A deep experience of Microsoft Azure as well as cloud security and cloud operations is essential to
Managed Service Provider.

**Mission**
In support of the IT team, the Consultant will provide the following services:
**Procurement - Mini Competition**
- Transfer of knowledge from the current consultants, take-over of ongoing work and

deliverables
- Overall management of the process, preparation/review of procurement documents,

allocation of tasks, coordination between various stakeholders
- Develop a framework on how to assess responses from providers
- In line with the procurement rules, prepare responses to requests for information and

clarifications on the requirements
- In line with the procurement rules, support in assessing technical proposals of providers,

analyse and challenge the responses, summarise the key elements for the management.
- Assist with the onboarding of the selected provider: development of the migration/transition

plan, knowledge sharing and establishment of ongoing governance including definition of RACI
matrices between the different parties
**Technical and Service Management**
- In parallel with the procurement procedure, the Current Service Provider will undertake

certain technical tasks to prepare for the migration. These include (but are not limited to)
implementation of connectivity as well as adapting the authentication to use the Azure AD.
This work needs to be overseen and technical project management conducted.
- Support the IT Security team in defining and implementing an IT Security model covering both

cloud and on-premise services and infrastructure. Ensure IT, information security, data
protection and other compliance topics are well managed.
- Analyse and identify additional technical or service management changes that are needed to

prepare the onboarding of the Cloud Management Provider.
- Support in implementing changes, work closely with the Current Service Provider to clarify and

adapt both technical and service process changes.
- Promote the project and Microsoft Azure services. Assist business users and technical teams

in understanding Azure services and how they can bring value. Undertake analysis of
requirements and identify future opportunities within the Microsoft cloud platform.
- Oversee new services and technical changes as the technical and service landscape is

constantly changing. Ensure any impacts on the future architecture are analysed and clear to
stakeholders
- Currently the service management is focused on the Current Service Provider. The future

model will need to accommodate more providers and the interactions between them. Assist
with developing a new model, anticipating any changes to existing processes, procedures etc.
in order to ensure a smooth transition
- Challenge the planning of the Cloud Management Provider as well as validate technical and

security design decisions
- Be a knowledge resource for the IT team on Microsoft cloud capabilities, services and best

practice
**Project Management**
- Develop a project plan to map out related tasks and dependencies
- Manage a complex procurement procedure, ensure tracking of multiple questions and

answers, capture input
