**About Baliston**
We are a fast-growing startup in the exciting space of wearable technology, building a new generation of 100% sustainably produced footwear with a companion mobile app to interface with the device.

We are utilizing machine learning, innovative footwear engineering and advanced health analytics to bring to market our approach for solving one of today’s largest global issues - minimizing one carbon footprint at a time.

**Responsibilities**
As a member of the Design team you will:

- Promote user-centered design principles and best practice across the organisation, educating, influencing, and guiding stakeholders
- Own, lead and execute all research activities, ensuring that the appropriate processes are engaged to generate insightful outcomes for Product
- Empower cross-functional partners in UX, Product, and Engineering with insights, learning resources, and support them to deliver the best user experience possible
- Conceptualize, plan, and coordinate qualitative and quantitative research projects
- Leverage your deep understanding of how discovery fits into the product development life cycle across multiple stages and at different levels of product maturity
- Coach and collaborate with designers on tactical research efforts that gather evidence to ensure product decisions are made with sufficient insights from users and mitigate risk

**Qualifications**
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- At least 4 years’ experience in UX research
- Excellent knowledge of planning and executing appropriate qualitative and quantitative research methods, operating within design thinking and agile delivery ways-of-working
- Practical experience with a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods, techniques for synthesis and testing tools.
- Comfortable with survey design and analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
- Eagerness to continually learn, grow, and improve Baliston's user research process.
