**Job Description**:
Our banking client, based in the heart of Luxembourg, is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their Finance Department. The office is mid-sized with a friendly and supportive culture. They offer international clients a range of products and services and are growing well in the Luxembourg office.

You will gain exposure to a broad role, including various accounting and reporting responsibilities, help the team evolve their controls and regulatory reporting knowledge.

We know the CFO well. He is a supportive and inspirational leader who enjoys developing the capabilities of his team members. An ongoing office rotation policy results in a well-balanced working environment.

In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for regulatory reporting and financial reporting
- Deliver CSSF and BCL reporting
- Accounting function including reconciliations (Lux GAAP to IFRS) and working with treasury; loan department; corporate teams; sales; private banking and trade finance divisions.
- Ensure accounting records are up to date
- Improve the internal control accounting framework
- Tax accounting including review transfer pricing calculations (supported by Big 4)
- Develop product controls where applicable
- Provide input into ongoing procedural enhancements

To be successful in this role you will require the following attributes:

- Business or finance related Degree, ideally with professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA )
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Accountant in a bank in Luxembourg.
- You must have work in a bank in Luxembourg to be considered for this position
- Extensive experience of banking statutory reporting under Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS
- Fluency in English plus another European language considered a plus
- Be able to work autonomously whilst being an important part of a small team
- Good knowledge with Microsoft Office
