Operations & Oversight Officer

The overall purpose of the role is to control and manage the activities of Global Banking Operations/Financing Operations function of Natixis Luxembourg, and to support and perform additional local daily operational duties.

**Key responsibilities**:
**Global Banking Operations / Financing Operations**
- Manage all Service Level Agreements in place, as required for the COO / Financing Operations scope (e.g. with Porto, Paris etc.).

This will include (a) coordinating the local review (and amendments thereof, where necessary), (b) ensuring the receipt and analysis of the deliverables under each SLA (KPI’s, reportings etc.), (c) and as a result, provide timely and tangible feedback on the level of performance received.
- Perform local CPN1.2 controls in Natixis tools (Priscop).
- Control, manage and escalate any local Customer complaints received.
- In the case of an Operational Risk Incident, be the local stakeholder / interface (and local escalation point) between the Operational Risk department, the branch Operational Risk correspondent, and all relevant stakeholders.
- Support and manage Ad-hoc requests from business lines and other support functions, including specific audit missions (and any subsequent audit recommendations and corrective measures).
- Interface with all relevant departments, but specifically the Middle Office (Paris & Porto), Back Office (Porto) and Front Office (Bank) teams, to ensure adequate local oversight and knowledge of all business activities undertaken/booked (this also includes being responsible for local escalation to relevant teams
- Ensure that the department’s Policy and Procedures are kept up to date and consider both global and local requirements.
- Undertake and be involved in automation and digitalization projects related to Operational activities of the department**.**:

- Support in transversal projects across Luxembourg and EMEA region.
- Interface with EMEA Head of Financing Operations, the GPO’s & BPE’s and other platform FinOps teams, to ensure good governance, shared practices and all updates & enhancements have been adopted for Luxembourg branch.

**Other activities / local operational duties**
- Monitor regulatory developments that may impact the business
- Process payment operations and fund inflows
- Manage cash movement reconciliation: initiate reconciliation routines, prepare reports - reporting of suspense items - propose improvements based on the analysis of recurring outstanding items
- Process transactions related to run-off (transactions, securities events, and transfers)
- Validate cash operations negotiated by Treasury & Markets departments
- Process locally managed invoices
- Participate in the preparation of certain mandatory tax reports (FATCA, EAI, QI, Relibi, etc.) and tax reports intended for run-off clients
- Other ad-hoc activities as required by the local business.

- Awareness of Investment/Corporate Banking and its products, to include a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- C1 level in English.
- Proactive, with the ability to deliver value-added support to business partners in a dependable, timely and accurate manner.
- Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment.
- Good communication and relationship/partnership-building skills both with team members as well as other business partners. Ability to interact confidently with all levels of stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail with a control and risk discipline mindset, takes ownership and is accountable for area of responsibility.
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge and experience with Corporate Financing tools preferred. Ability to use web-based technology effectively.
