Associate - Fund Operations Oversight

We have a new Associate level role available in our delegate risk oversight team in Lux. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent time management, organizational skills, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail. Our delegates include transfer agency, fund administrators, investment managers, depositary and distribution. If you have experience in any of these areas and fancy more of an oversight role then this will be a great next move for you
We are also very interested in speaking to people from the big Audit firms with practical experience of due diligence processes.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conduct initial and ongoing due diligences on delegates;
- Assist with the follow up on any issues and incidents reported by the central administrators;
- Contribute to the reporting on the oversight activities to the Conducting Officers;
- Support other Oversight team members to the client acceptance process;
- Assist with the design and implementation of internal and operating controls (especially in relation to UCITS & AIFMD monitoring and reporting);
- Support the business to identify, assess, manage and measure operational risks in accordance with the relevant regulatory policies;
- Liaise closely with the various internal teams, covering Operations, Compliance, Relationship and Risk teams to evaluate the operational risks of each delegate;
- Work with the Onboarding team to ensure efficient operational set up for new fund launches
- Aspire to be the technical expert in UCITS, AIFMD & funds, especially with respect to operational risk management;
- Maintain and exemplify a joined-up oversight program overseeing all delegates;
- Actively participate in meetings, prepare and attend technical training;
- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedural manuals that contribute to the efficiency of the department while also ensuring timely and accurate delivery of service and regulatory compliance.
- Oversight of tasks outsourced to the team in Cashel.
**EDUCATION**
You will ideally hold a degree in Finance or Economics or similar.
**EXPERIENCE**:
- You have at least 2 years of practical experience within an audit firm or experience working in fund administration, a management company, an investment firm.
- You are able to work in a fast paced environment, including reporting and providing support to various members of the team;
- Outstanding time management, organizational skills, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail are required;
- You have a client facing background, networking skills and you are adept at building relationships;
- You are able to write clearly, to define and review procedures and to produce comprehensive reports.
