The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) at the University of Luxembourg brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences.
People from across 20 disciplines are working within the Faculty. Along with the disciplinary approach a very ambitious interdisciplinary research culture has been developed. The faculty’s research and teaching focuses on social, economic, political and educational issues with the common goal of contributing to an inclusive, open and resourceful society.
**Your role**:
Working closely with the administrative team in place, the postholder will handle general secretarial tasks.
- Provision of services; e.g. purchase orders, follow-up and verifying invoices, travel
- Incoming and outgoing mail
- On-boarding and off-boarding of staff members
- Organisation of various events: conferences, meetings, visits, symposia
- Interfacing with central services and the Dean’s Office
- Tracking and monitoring budgets
- Follow-up of student contracts
- Booking rooms and service providers for events, including catering expenses
**Your profile**:
- At least 3 years professional experience in administration
- Knowledge of SAP and BI is an asset
- Business fluency in English plus at least one of the other working languages of the University (French and/or German)
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, service oriented, team player
- Professional and collegial, reliable, can do attitude
