The University of Luxembourg is seeking a highly skilled and experienced **SAP **Functional **Specialist in Finance**.

Our SAP landscape consists of multiple modules, including SAP FI/CO/PS, MM, and HR, that are integrated to support our business processes. The SAP system serves as the backbone of our financial and accounting operations, enabling us to manage our finances, assets, and costs effectively. The PS module is the core of the system, complemented by accounts payable, accounts receivable, assets and VIM. The MM module is responsible for managing procurement and inventory management, while the HR module manages employee data and payroll.

**Your Role...**:
As an **SAP FI/CO/PS Functional Specialist**, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the SAP FI/CO/PS modules to ensure that they are aligned with our business objectives. You will work closely with other IT professionals and cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to our financial and accounting processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with the MM and HR teams to ensure that the SAP system is integrated seamlessly across all modules. You will be responsible for the full solution lifecycle, from analysis to delivery and support:

- **Functional specialist**: Configure, maintain, and support SAP FI/CO/PS modules to ensure that they meet the business needs.
- **Understand the business needs**:Collaborate with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into functional specifications for development.
- **Agile delivery**:Define initiatives, epics and stories, and their success criteria. Prioritize the backlog items in line with the pace of the sprint, and work with developers to ensure that development is kept under control and reflects the business needs. Work with the users to validate that the deliverables meet the specified quality criteria and are fit for purpose.
- **Communication**: Ensure that business users are continuously kept in the loop on the latest developments impacting them. Actively manage expectations.

**What we expect from you**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or related field
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in implementing and supporting SAP solutions in a complex, decentralized environment
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes
- Understanding of modern SAP architectures, including Fiori, back-end and BTP
- Experience with agile software development methodologies and incremental product delivery including participation in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other agile ceremonies
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills
- Fluent in both French and English, with excellent written and oral communication skills in both languages to effectively communicate with clients and team members
- Desirable: understanding of SAP MM, which is strongly linked to SAP FI/CO/PS
- Desirable: familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA and integration with other systems is a plus
