Junior Associate Corporate

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The DLA Piper Luxembourg Corporate team advises clients on a full range of corporate related matters, including Luxembourg and cross-border transactions. Our clients include major corporate groups, private equity houses, investment and pension funds and start-ups. The team is part of a wider global team and frequently acts on deals involving our worldwide colleagues, giving our clients access to one of the largest legal and tax network in the world. A big part of your role will evolve around Corporate, PE and M&A.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for a broad range of work, including:

- Manage and advise clients on national and cross border corporate transactions, including PE, Real estate and M&A deals, implementation of management incentive plans, setting up of joint ventures schemes, group re-organisation and general corporate work;
- You will be engaged in drafting and negotiating a variety of corporate documents, including share purchase agreements, joint ventures and other partnering agreements, equity and debt funding instruments, setting up and dissolving entities, due diligence, etc.; and
- Actively advise companies, founders, board of directors, executives and committees on a wide range of operational matters and strategic transactions and provide them with on-going legal and personalised support.

**ABOUT YOU**

- European Master's degree in Law, and preferably an LL.M. and or an MS;
- ability to show evidence of an attractive academic track record;
- 0 - 2 years' post qualification experience;
- Professional experience in corporate law with major Luxembourg and/or international legal firm(s);
- Excellent command of English and French (both verbal and written) - German or any other main foreign language is a real asset;
- Excellent legal and technical language skills;
- A motivated, open minded and look-forward approach individual who will thrive in an environment where excellence, innovation and going that extra mile are the norm;
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to give pragmatic advice are essential for this role;
- Accuracy, confidentiality and punctuality are not strange concepts to you;
- Able to prioritise and manage effectively multiple and complex tasks;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Eager to work in a dynamic but demanding context.
