As a Development Acceleration Strategist, you will be an integral part of our Developer Acceleration team, which encompasses various areas such as Engineering Infrastructure and Tooling, Sustainability, Quality Engineering Tooling, and Enablement.
This role will be responsible for defining the strategy and roadmap for these areas, ensuring the right tooling, processes, and practices are adopted in our engineering organization.

**Responsibilities**
Product Ownership and Strategy:

- Act as a Product Owner and Product Strategist for the Development Acceleration area,
- Set up a comprehensive strategy, including the organizational charter, long term and short-term objectives, and a collective roadmap of priorities,
- Identify the most important priorities for engineering productivity through effective feedback gathering and empathy mechanisms,
- Ensure that engineers within the Developer Acceleration organization adopt a product mindset, treating their peers as customers and delivering high-quality tools that solve their tangible problems.

Metrics and Progress Tracking:

- Establish and maintain relevant metrics to measure progress and inform decision-making processes,
- Interact with stakeholders, including executives, and present the strategy and progress updates.

Relationship Building and Enablement:

- Foster strong relationships with engineering teams at NetSuite, the organization we are enabling.
- Create exceptional enablement mechanisms that empower our engineers and enhance their skills and knowledge.

**Requirements**:

- Senior-level position (Senior Director or Director) with a technical background.
- Demonstrated experience in driving engineering productivity, development experience,

or engineering enablement.
- Strong product-centric mindset with a focus on user-centered solutions. Your user is an

Engineer.
- Great communication and presentation skills to effectively convey strategies and

progress to stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across various teams and

departments.
- Experience with DevOps, Platform Engineering, or DevEx is advantageous.

**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
