DESCRIPTION Work hard, have fun, make history. That's what we do every day at Amazon. Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region manages an extensive corporate office portfolio encompassing approximately 10 million rentable square feet (RSF) spread over 43 countries, 86 cities, and 139 buildings. Currently, GREF's EMEA operations are organized into nine distinct areas to efficiently serve its diverse customer base, including various business teams, leaders, and vendors who utilize Amazon's corporate offices. Looking ahead to 2025, GREF plans to restructure its services to align more closely with major Amazon organizations such as AWS, Stores, Devices, and FGBS. This strategic realignment will consolidate the existing nine areas into five geographical regions or "Geos," mirroring the operational and reporting structures of Amazon's key business units. This position is office-based; however, Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements. Key job responsibilities - Translate business strategies and requirements into organization specific space solutions in partnership with an outsourced vendor team ensuring alignment and compliance with Amazon standards. - Manage workplace space allocation planning activities through outsourced vendors including data collection, scenario development and analysis, and presentation of recommendations. - In partnership with Geo Strategist, develop and present workplace allocation strategies for short-, medium - and long-term scenarios. - In partnership with Geo Strategist and Geo Analyst, review and verify headcount space data. - Review and validate space data, including current capacity and future projections, to support strategic planning. - Oversee all reporting on Geo workplace space metrics such as verified headcount, space allocations, and other relevant data to support real estate decisions and portfolio strategy. - Produce Geo reporting on workplace space planning and, in partnership with Geo Strategist and Geo Analyst, deliver Geo reports such as Monthly/Quarterly Business reviews. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Project Management, architecture, interior design or related field, or related professional experience. - Professional experience required - a significant portion of which should demonstrate success in leading portfolio strategy and broad scale workplace planning and move management projects. - Experience in program/ project management, to include delivering cross functional projects. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Strong ability to think strategically and develop long-term workplace plans that align with business objectives and real estate strategies. - Expertise in analysing complex data sets, identifying trends, and using data to inform strategic decisions. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, build strong relationships, and manage expectations effectively. - Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs. - In-depth understanding of workplace planning, space management, and corporate real estate, with experience in managing large, geographically diverse portfolios.
