As a valuation officer, you will join the valuation team of our Luxembourg-based AIFM, taking responsibility for the valuations of illiquid assets. You will work with strategies investing in different type of assets, such as private equity, venture capital, real estate, private debt, infrastructure, and fund of funds. You will work in accordance with AIFM policies and procedures and will contribute to strengthening the overall valuation process.

**Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)**
- Act as Valuation Officer in accordance with the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD).
- Collect and review assumptions and any valuation material for assets held by funds under management (private equity, real estate, private debt, infrastructure, and fund of funds strategies).
- Prepare valuation reports and documentation for the AIFM Valuation Committee.
- Present and explain periodic valuations to AIFM Valuation Committee.
- Data Analysis: conduct regular analysis of market trends and asset performance to ensure valuations reflect current market conditions. Monitor the evolution of valuation guidelines and ensure periodic reviews and updates to the company's valuation policy and procedures.
- Participate in valuation-related discussions with the clients, auditors, depositaries and other stakeholders as the case may be.
- Assist the other AIFM functions with ad-hoc valuation matters as needed.

**Qualifications**
- Master/Bachelor in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience in asset valuation, preferably within an AIFM or a financial services firm.
- Knowledge of valuation techniques and financial modelling, particularly for illiquid assets (private equity, real estate, private debt, infrastructure, and fund of funds).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to valuations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with specialized valuation software and tools is advantageous.
- Fluent in English; additional language would be considered an asset.
- Entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
