ArcelorMittal Luxembourg is looking for:
**Head of Transversal Legal team Procurement and Capex**

reporting to: Regional General Counsel Europe

Role and Responsibilities

ROLE:
You will be Senior Legal Advisor within the ArcelorMittal Group Legal & Compliance organization, and you will be leading the legal team dedicated to the central European Procurement Organization (EPO) of ArcelorMittal as well as to the Corporate Capex organization of the group.

You will provide advice and guidance on a variety of legal matters that are linked with the procurement in Europe and globally of both goods, including energy and services that are needed by the group of operational units and companies of the ArcelorMittal group in Europe as well as beyond. You will contribute to the creation of new partnerships and JVs with third parties in the procurement business of ArcelorMittal in Europe. You will advice dedicated committees to assess capex investments globally.

You will demonstrate exemplary and inspiring leadership when it comes to integration of new AI tools to improve efficiency and quality and hence contribute to risk management relating to the business activity of procurement and capex investments.

You will work as a generalist SLC and will be able to work on business contract negotiation and drafting, whether relating to procurement, business development, investment projects, partnerships and JVs, etc. requiring knowledge of several legal areas including contract law, commercial law, corporate law etc.

You will identify optimization of the cooperation with the ArcelorMittal Country legal teams when it comes to the legal advisory work for procurement and capex investments. Hereto a spontaneous and structured alignment with the Group GC, GC Europe and European country legal teams is important. You will contribute to synergies of the European legal organization by developing legal trainings, template of agreements and by the launch of new legal knowledge exchange and digitization initiatives.

You demonstrate strong project management skills and leadership qualities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific accountabilities and responsibilities include:

- Primarily acting as trusted senior legal advisor to EPO and the related purchasing teams, mostly based in Luxemburg, as well as to the Corporate Capex teams and committees
- Build the yearly and long term legal strategy of this Transversal Legal team Procurement and Capex and manage and lead the dedicated legal team through objectives and through exemplary leadership appraoch
- Advising on a wide variety of commercial and corporate matters, with a particular focus on the areas described above, including partnerships and JVs.
- Coordinating and following up on disputes/litigations together with external lawyers.
- Delivering training to the business teams on a variety of legal and compliance related matters.Identify and contribute to risk management initiatives and other international legal initiatives of the AM Group Legal & Compliance team, combined with the identification of new synergies and efficiency improvement actions, including development of AI solutions. Regularly sharing best practices, new challenges or developments, innovations.

PROFILE DESCRIPTION:

- Competencies:

- 8 to 12y years of work experience on a wide-range of legal matters in the area of commercial and corporate law, contract law, partnerships and JVs, investments,
- Experience in an (inter)national law firm or (international) company is a prerequisite.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Education:

- Master’s degree in either Luxemburg, French, German, Belgian, Spanish or Polish Law.
- Skills:

- The willingness and capability to be a “hands-on” lawyer, with a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic approach.
- The willingness and capability to analyze and solve complex legal issues.
- The willingness to develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with ArcelorMittal, ArcelorMittal’s businesses, its people, markets, facilities and customers.
