**Job Description**:
Role Summary:
Assist the Conducting Officer for Risk in the effective design, implementation and ongoing assessment of the risk management policy, risk management procedures, monitoring and tracking individual deals and portfolios and risk and valuation framework.

This will be in relation to new and existing funds and strategies associated with running the Ares Luxembourg Alternative Investment Fund Manager.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

- Aid in the implementation of a consistent approach regarding risk management and work with the wider business to effectively implement and monitor procedures
- Monitor the investment and risk profiles for the funds under management
- Monitor the risk limits and compliance of the funds with the investment limits/limitations as well as the individual investments from a portfolio management perspective
- Review the portfolio from an individual investment perspective and work with the Conducting Officer for Risk to provide a comprehensive portfolio valuation working alongside the Portfolio team in London
- Assist in the design, implementation and ongoing assessment of the risk management policy, risk management procedure and the risk framework for new and existing funds and strategies
- Assist in producing regular and ad-hoc reports for the Conducting Officer for Risk, the Board of Managers and the CSSF

Typical Requirements:

- University degree in finance, business, political sciences or economics, or other degree if a keen interest in finance
- English language fluency; French and Luxembourgish languages a plus
- Additional experience of Corporate Management, Fund Administration or similar is beneficial
- Highly professional, self-motivated, self-responsible, high integrity, and good analytical and communication skills
- Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint a plus
