On behalf of our client, an investment management company, we are hiring a “Senior Associate for Operational Risk” (M/F/d) for their office in Luxembourg.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Supporting the Luxembourg risk manager by: Updating the risk management database and updating the risk reports and stress tests (market and liquidity), etc.
- Provide support for operational risk initiatives, encompassing areas such as privacy, third-party due diligence, end-user computing solutions, compliance with regulatory requirements, insurance risk management, records management, and business continuity
- Participate in the implementation, documentation, and review of the risk management framework and policies within the European context
- Support the implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework by facilitating Risk and Control Self Assessments, documenting primary risks and controls, formulating action plans to address control deficiencies, and rigorously assessing the sufficiency of controls
- Analyze and report operational risk events, identify root causes of control breakdowns, and develop remediation plans, including performing scenario analysis reviews
**Your profile**
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree from a Business School or University, preferably with a focus on Risk, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Accumulate 3-5 years of relevant work experience in risk management, audit, or a comparable role within the institutional asset management sector or a consulting firm.
- Proficiency in clear and robust English verbal and written communication is essential
