Amazon Air (AIR) is seeking a highly enthusiastic and motivated Program Manager (PM) to be a part of the Global Technical Operations (GTO) team to innovate, manage, and create new air-related solutions that drive improved performance, safety and efficiency. The PM will require strong written & verbal communication skills with managers, peers and team members, both within their immediate department, and with other departments and business partners, to drive effective and sustainable solutions to complex challenges. The PM must have an ability to manage and execute multiple priorities in a timely manner across multiple projects.

Key job responsibilities
- Monitor the fleet health and support the internal teams to manage the network disruptions arising from aircraft technical defects
- Monitor the fleet reliability trends concerning different aircraft systems and report to the internal and external teams
- Recommend and implement reliability initiatives in collaboration with internal and external partners
- Track reliability initiatives and related cost for schedule and completion
- Participate in audits/visits to the maintenance stations and influence the partners to maintain highest standards
- Raise and monitor the quality improvement needs by partnering with internal and external stakeholders
- Support as required on managing the airframe and power-plant heavy maintenance/overhaul programs
- Navigating through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments.
- Escalate problems or variances in the operating plan to the relevant owners and teams, following through to resolutions ensuring delivery.
- Address barriers through problem solving, communication, and active coordination.

A day in the life

The daily role of the Fleet Performance PM will require communications with internal stakeholders and Amazon Air partners on aircraft reliability. Monitoring and reporting reliability trends and working with internal and external teams to drive improvements and track initiatives. A fair amount of time will be spent on oversight of AIRs quality audit program, systems, procedures and controls by coordinating with business partner groups. It can be exciting to occasionally oversight/support airframe/powerplant heavy maintenance programs.

About the team

The GTO team will assure meticulous technical aircraft oversight to deliver for AIR’s customers with technology innovations and cost-effective solutions. The team maintains an extreme focus on providing highly reliable aircraft. The focus is critical to Amazon Air's network schedule and customers. The team works cross-functionally and externally to surface and solve for complex problems and deliver solutions. The Fleet Performance PM partners with the team and strives to improve the fleet performance.
