The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.
The University of Luxembourg is looking for temporary support for its HR Department. This position is offered through an external temporary staffing agency. The selected candidate will work on-site at the University of Luxembourg (Belval Campus and Kirchberg), while the employment contract will be issued by the external provider.
Your role- Collaborate with hiring managers and leaders to understand the specific research needs and develop targeted sourcing strategies to attract quality research candidates
- Focus on identifying and engaging potential research talent by thoroughly understanding their backgrounds, expertise, and alignment with the SnT's research goals
- Organize briefing meetings with hiring managers to align notably on the role, responsibilities and expected skill sets of candidates
- Screen candidates resumes and job applications leading to a pre-selection of promising candidates to be presented to the hiring managers
- Schedule interviews with selected candidates and hiring managers
- Take the initiative to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure a mutual understanding of the research hiring needs. Provide detailed information to stakeholders that enables informed decision-making
- Ensure compliance with procedures related to the recruitment of research roles. Stay updated with the latest labor laws and regulations, with a particular focus on GDPR and research-specific compliance
- Partner with other HR team members to coordinate strategies and activities that create efficiencies and support the unique requirements of research recruitment
- Provide reporting on key sourcing and recruiting metrics, specifically tailored to research roles, by analyzing and summarizing data and trends for continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field required
- 5+ years of experience in full life cycle recruiting for positions at all levels; proven track record for producing hiring results; demonstrated success in developing and maintaining professional contacts; extensive candidate sourcing experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of the functions and capabilities of an applicant tracking system, proficient with Microsoft Office
- Professional communications skills in English in both, oral and written
- Motivation to reach out for feedback & comfort in constructively providing it
- Ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term goals
- A highly collaborative spirit & person-centric mindset
