Business Analyst – Transaction Reporting

Your day-to-day

  • Collect and analyze business and regulatory requirements related to transaction and middle-office reporting
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications
  • Perform data mapping between internal systems and an external SaaS reporting solution
  • Document data flows, interfaces, and integration processes (APIs, file exchanges, etc.)
  • Design test cases and test scenarios to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Coordinate and support UAT phases, including defect tracking and validation of fixes
  • Act as a key liaison with external vendors to ensure delivery quality and timelines
  • Monitor alignment with regulatory reporting frameworks such as MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, or equivalent regulations
  • Prepare and share regular project status updates with relevant stakeholders

Your profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a financial services or regulatory reporting environment
  • Strong expertise in transaction and regulatory reporting (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR)
  • Solid experience with data mapping, data validation, and system integration flows
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality functional and technical documentation
  • Hands-on experience with UAT preparation, execution, and coordination
  • Good understanding of financial system architectures and data models
  • Technical skills including XML, VBA, and SQL for data analysis and validation
  • Familiarity with transaction reporting SaaS platforms (experience with S&P Cappitech is a strong asset)
  • Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and highly organized
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a project-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams and external partners
