At Arcelormittal H&S Europe, we are looking for someone to join us at the forefront of the steel industry. As part of our Second Line Safety Audit European Team, you will take a key role in the internal audit process for the governance & assurance within the European Segments (ArcelorMittal Flat, ArcelorMittal Long and ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions).
So, what will you do?
- Planning, scheduling fieldwork, executing audits and internal assessments independently, while being able to team with individuals across various departments and functions within European operations.
- Performing health and safety audits on global processes and on-site projects to ensure ArcelorMittal's proper implementation for the governance and assurance of European strategy, compliance, roadmaps, KPIs, goals, risk-based approach, good practices, core values of health and safety, internal controls, or incident investigations, between others. Ensure compliance with All ArcelorMittal health and safety requirements (e.g., FPS/FPA, alignment and integration of support functions, etc.).
- Lead/assist in the performance of special reviews and investigation as assigned.
- Maintain independence with objectivity and assure confidential information protection.
- Conclude and analyze the health and safety audit result on an overall level to see patterns, root causes, risks, and trends within the organization.
- Coordinate, support and promote the effective closure of various health and safety corrective and preventive actions under scope with quality in due time with regular follow-up on outstanding management actions.
- Deliver adding value findings and opportunities for improvement with quality and overall consistency of audit work.
- Any other activities as may from time to time, be required by management to improve our Health and Safety strategy, goals & expectations.

What are we looking for?
- You are fluent in English (speaking and writing) and the country's local language where assigned. Other EU languages are an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels.
- ISO 45001 knowledge is a key asset.
- Training/degree in Health & Safety is a plus.
- A positive, flexible, and results-oriented approach with focus on continuous improvement.
- Analytical thinking, rigorous and organized, showing influencing skills with the ability to build trust.
- Ability to navigate IT tools.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work both in teams and individually.
- Frequent traveler (~50%).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Master's degree in engineering/physics/chemistry (among others).
Work experience requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience
- Previous experience in performing health and safety audits in industrial/manufacturing business
