Sales Trader – CIB Financial Markets

Your next challenge:
- Service the financial markets needs of BIL's clients across the bank (Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), Digital Banking, and Wealth Management) to meet their transactional needs and objectives, including the collection and transmission of orders. Such activity covers securities and instruments across asset classes, covering Equities, Fixed Income, ETFs, Funds, Structured Products, Derivatives (Options, Futures, Swaps and Forwards), FX, and Commodities (Precious Metals).
- Manage Trade Servicing Process: Ensure smooth execution, reporting, and communication of client orders, including timely follow-up on issues.
- Client Liaison: Regularly engage with clients to understand their investment needs and collaborate with CIB Financial Markets for tailored product solutions.
- Propose and promote a range of financial market solutions to clients, contributing to the bank's revenues and funding targets. This includes:
- Tailormade BIL products for specific investor needs.
- Broad BIL product campaigns focused on market themes.
- Servicing precise client requests for specific products.
- Promotion of selected third-party securities.
- Provide client feedback and market insights to internal teams within CIB Financial Markets to guide the development of new products and campaigns.
- Identify and implement more efficient processes within Sales and Structuring, providing internal support for these improvements.
- Follow Market Developments: Stay updated on financial industry trends and the bank's offerings to optimize client service.
- Coordinate with Internal Stakeholders: Work with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Operations to ensure alignment with the bank's policies and regulations.
- Regularly produce comprehensive reports on the evolution of commercial activities, detailing volumes and revenues by activity type and client.
Your skills:
- At least 10 years of experience in a financial markets focused position (either execution of financial markets instruments, sales trading, distribution, trading, and relationship management).
- Experience in Investment Banking, External Asset Management and / or Private Banking.
- Demonstrated experience of creating and presenting financial markets solutions to clients.
- Master degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or another quantitative based subject
- Fluent in English. Other European languages, particularly Luxemburgish, French and / or German would be beneficial.
- Excellent knowledge of financial markets, products and services across asset classes.
- Experience in financial markets product pricing tools.
