**Position overview**:
We are looking for a visionary and strategic CBO to join our team, with solid business skills related to asset management, insurance or banking. Experience working with technology or space products is a plus.

The role involves working closely with the founding team to define and execute Symbiose's business vision through a transformative forest ecosystem analytics platform. This is an exceptional opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation in the NatureTech space using Earth Observation data.

**Responsibilities**:
As our Chief Business Officer, you will lead the business development of our groundbreaking IT tool:

- Develop and execute the overall business roadmap.
- Serve clients including financial institutions such as banks, pension funds, asset management companies, insurers,(B2B) and later private forest owners (B2C)
- Drive sales initiatives and maintain awareness of Symbiose’s strengths and offerings.
- Develop our commercial product offering, identify new clients and profitable products, address gaps between Symbiose’s offering and market demand, and build the necessary infrastructure in collaboration with various support functions (e.g., CTO, Engineers, CEO).
- Prepare pitchbooks, market comments, term sheets, and other marketing materials.
- Stay informed in the ESG field to understand challenges and incorporate them into daily activities.
- Build and manage your team as needed to ensure successful delivery.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, execution timelines, and required follow-ups.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Represent Symbiose at key industry events and conferences, becoming a key voice of the company.
- Ensure all risk aspects, including legal and compliance risks, operational risks, and reputational risks, are minimized and adhere to all internal and external regulations.

**What we are looking for**:

- Good understanding of the financial institution businesses and good knowledge of global market products
- Strong motivation and communication skills to deal with financial institution clients and develop new relationships
- Strong business background with a proven track-record in selling a product from scratch with B2B mentioned above and also with B2C
- Experience in building business strategies for executing and automating B2C Go-to-Market strategies.
- Experience in leading and managing teams towards delivering the objectives set
- Strong presentation skills, both orally and in writing, with confidence in abilities
- Understanding of team structures and the ability to provide oversight to a junior team
- Capacity and desire to understand complex financial structured products
- Passion for technology and its potential to drive positive change
- Entrepreneurial energy and willingness to support the CEO in other aspects of growing a startup as needed
- Understanding of the legal framework and regulations relevant to the business.
- Solid understanding of forest ecosystems principles and tokenization is a plus. Willingness to learn about it is a must
- Experience in an early-stage startup or co-creating one is preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience
- A passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental impact.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- English fluency (oral and written). French, German is a plus
