As a key member of the Legal & Compliance Division, the Legal Counsel will engage in a variety of essential functions, including:
- Supporting the investment division in mergers and acquisitions while overseeing portfolio entities
- Evaluating and coordinating the execution of legal agreements
- Managing KYC/KYT relationships and conducting BC/FT assessments
- Assisting the administrative team with the drafting and examination of contracts
- Facilitating corporate gatherings and ensuring adherence to internal regulations
- Monitoring legislative developments pertinent to corporate entities, anti-money laundering, investment vehicles, taxation, civil, and commercial law
- Overseeing incoming KYC/KYT and tax-related inquiries
- Offering comprehensive legal guidance
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate legal roles and hold a law degree. Familiarity with AML/CFT regulations is advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in English and French (knowledge of German is a plus). Excellent organizational abilities and a commitment to continuous learning are vital.
