Your role as Research and Grants Coordinator
You will be responsible for fostering and further developing the research activities of our research groups by actively engaging in grants management.
This dynamic hybrid role will leverage your expertise in grants management and financial coordination to effectively support external projects.
Main responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for researchers seeking information about funding possibilities and related procedures.
- Assist academic staff in preparing applications for funding, budget planning, and managing research projects, including collaboration agreements and ethics.
- Support project owners in complying with terms and conditions of different funding bodies and collaborate closely with our controlling team regarding budget monitoring and financial reporting.
- Prepare reports (e.g. activity reports, external evaluations) and disseminate research activities within academia and society.
- Maintain internal records and ensure cooperation and communication within the IC, partner institutions, and central administration, as well as with other research entities and funders.
- Participate in meetings, info days, and other events related to our mission.
- Contribute to the implementation and improvement of grant management processes and procedures.
Your profile
The ideal candidate should possess a proactive and service-minded attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to plan and work on multiple tasks with a sense of priority.
Key requirements:
- University degree (Master's level) and experience in a research environment, preferably in life sciences or a related discipline.
- First-hand experience in research and project management, project monitoring, proposal writing, budget planning, and related reporting.
- Excellent command of English and a working knowledge of French and/or German would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency with modern office software, spreadsheets, and collaborative platforms.
- Team-oriented, diplomatic, and able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
- Welcoming and service-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of different funding mechanisms, rules, and requirements is a strong advantage.
Estimated Salary: €45,000 - €60,000 per year
