This role involves analyzing, negotiating, preparing, and administering contracts with external maintenance providers, ensuring compliance with EASA requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Tenders for Aircraft Maintenance-Related Services: Conduct, analyze, and present tenders for aircraft maintenance-related services, including procurement and repair of components, heavy checks, aircraft modifications, and engineering services.
- Contract Administration: Analyze, negotiate, prepare, and administer contracts with external maintenance providers, MROs, parts suppliers, and OEMs, ensuring compliance with EASA requirements.
- Contract Review: Ensure contracts reflect operational needs, safety standards, airworthiness responsibilities, and legal & regulatory obligations.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate closely with all departments of the Maintenance & Engineering division to align contractual aspects with internal requirements.
- Promotion and Sales of Certified Part-145 Maintenance Services: Promote and sell Cargolux's certified Part-145 maintenance services, including line maintenance, base maintenance, and component repair to third-party customers.
- Capacity Alignment: Identify and seek approvals for available capacity and align it with customer requirements while maintaining compliance and operational requirements of the airline.
- Negotiation of External Maintenance Services: Prepare and negotiate offers for external maintenance services, including technical content, pricing, and service-level agreements.
- Customer Relationship Development: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with external customers while reviewing customer performance.
- Commercial and Operational Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to balance commercial commitments with operational planning and resource availability.
- Degree: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Aerospace), Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a similar role; experience in the aviation industry and/or maintenance is a strong asset.
- Skills: Excellent communication, writing, creative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Personality Traits: Customer-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Work Style: Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
- Initiative and Prioritization: Initiative-taking with strong prioritization skills.
- Methodical and Organized: Methodical and organized with attention to detail.
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to handle and resolve conflicts.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Location: Permanent full-time position based in Luxembourg.
- Certificate: A Certificate of good conduct will be required in case of positive selection.
- Flexibility: The position demands a regular presence in the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned to avoid conflicting with service needs. Flexibility is needed with working hours.
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
