The Department of Life Sciences and Medicine and especially the Molecular Disease Mechanisms group is looking for a**:Research and Development Specialist**

**Your Role...**:
The recruited person should:

- Participate in different projects with an active participation in meetings, collection and analyses of data
- Respect the rules of quality assurance
- Help with the organization of data

**Tasks**:

- Conduct bioinformatic analyses needed for the different projects within the group
- Participate and present obtained data in meetings
- Document performed analyses in a lab book
- Contribute to the generation of scientific reports
- Participate in different collaborations
- Curate clinical data obtained through the colorectal cancer collection

**What we expect from you**:

- PhD in Biological Sciences or related discipline
- Extensive bioinformatic expertise (Python, R, tools related to cell-cell interaction such as NicheNet, metatranscriptomic and metagenomic analyses)
- Previous professional experience as a biologist and bioinformatician
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Skills in written and spoken English is required, knowledge in German or French is an asset
