**Global Custody Product Management**
Global Custody Product Management is responsible for the strategy, end to end ownership, governance and P&L of the Global Custody business. The team is global, with regional management across EMEA, Americas and APAC.
The role is a critical function focussing on end to end business ownership, the product definition and our ability to deliver a first-class service to the world's most important clients.
**Job summary**
This role will require close partnership with Network Management, Risk, Legal, Compliance & Operations.
**Job responsibilities**:
- Lead stakeholder engagement, business decision making. operating model change and communications (internal and client)_in relation to any market incidents or country risk events impacting Global Custody
- Contribute to risk reduction / provider strategy initiatives to manage operational, credit, country & IT risks.
- Responsible for prioritization, governance and status reporting of legal contract changes with agents and FMIs to enhance commercial terms and asset safety provisions.
- Design and deliver new or revised operating models to expand global custody's support of additional asset classes and optimised account structures across global markets to enhance client experience.
- Maintain and enhance written product guidelines, policies, playbooks, and service definitions.
- Conduct analysis of risk exposures from market change and country risk incidents.
- Collaborate with Quantitative Research, tech, data leads and risk teams to enhance data driven tools for proactive risk management.
- Conduct analysis and make recommendations to support GC's agent selection strategy including RFPs and pricing negotiations.
- Custody Product lead for reviewing and approving due diligence performed on agents and FMIs as part of the Final Assessment Reporting (FAR) process.
- Ensuring robust design and continuous update of the governance framework to meet regulatory demands; including outsourcing and safeguarding of client assets in European jurisdictions.
- Maintenance of oversight of the sub custodian network and contractual arrangements with sub custodians at both a business and legal entity level
**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- A strong understanding of the securities services industry, ideally gained from either within operations, network, product management, product development or the relationship / client service organisation
- Ability to demonstrate inclusion of risk and control parameters in daily activities
- Logical, commercially minded and able to think strategically
- Ability to leverage a large matrix run organisation to drive and implement change
- Strong presentation skills, excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills, ability to partner effectively
- Excellent written communication skills, ideally some experience with policy, procedural or other formal business documentation
**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Branch in group governance and crisis management forums
- Strong problem-solving skills, good critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
