Your responsibilities

  • Observe and analyze global sanctions trends potentially impacting the work and risk considerations of the Compliance function and propose strategic positioning towards such developments
  • Monitor international sanctions regimes and programs
  • Monitor the development of regulatory obligations and requirements in Luxembourg and EU countries regarding the sanctions related reporting to various authorities (MinFin, EU, OFAC)
  • Maintain and update compliance policies in relation to global sanctions, as relevant to business activities
  • Coordinate Sanctions compliance monitoring and oversee preparation of compliance reports
  • Execute sanctions related compliance initiatives, including annual risk assessment exercise
  • Provide guidance and support to the business concerning global sanctions and antimoney laundering (AML) compliance
  • Provide sanctions compliance trainings to business units/ customers.
  • Play an active and leading role in Compliance related matters during the process of a newly set up compliance function
  • Contribute to the operational duties of the Clearstream Compliance Team (compliance assessment for prospects, clients, securities and alerts management)
  • Contribute to the Compliance assessment for M&A projects
  • Contribute to the reporting requirements of the compliance function and perform presentations for the various governing bodies (Compliance Committees, Executive Board, etc.), as required
  • Contribute to the design and set up of the various tools used by the compliance team during the process of performing their daytoday tasks and obligations.
  • Manage multiple investigations and inquiries at the same time and meet timely deadlines
  • Support internal and/or external audit requests and findings on the Compliance function

Your profile

  • University degree in law, economics, finance or a relevant comparable qualification
  • At least 7 years of experience in a law firm, finance industry, compliance or a supervisory authority
  • Knowledge of the relevant regulatory requirements relevant to Luxembourg and EU countries
  • Any international/global sanctions program related certification would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Communication and negotiation skills, including ability to present complex matters in a clear and comprehensive way
  • Strong individual initiative, high level commitment and motivation
  • Capacity of stress management and working under high level of pressure from business
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required. French or German is a strong plus
