Project description:

  • SkiLMeeT_ is a research project carried out by eight research institutions, exploring how the digital and green transformation of European economies are changing the demand for skills. The team analyses the scope of skills shortages and mismatches, identify their drivers and propose innovative ways to reduce skills gaps.

Your role:

Within this position, you will take the initiative in the following activities within the _SkiLMeeT _project:

  • Research on the impact of new technologies and green transition on labor markets ;
  • Conduct data analysis on big data sets by using machine learning tools ;
  • Produce and present reports to external partners and stakeholders ;
- (Co-)publish results in top-ranked academic journals.

Your profile:

  • PhD. degree in economics ;
  • Sound knowledge and expertise in econometrics, programming and data science ;
  • Strong interest in labor economics and the impact of new technologies on jobs ;
  • Excellent writing skills, for both scientific and more policyoriented articles are required ;
  • Excellent organization and communication skills ;
  • Ability to work independently and to take initiatives ;
  • Fluency in English and German, any other language is considered as an asset.

LISER is a publicly funded research institute located in Luxembourg and dedicated to applied empirical research in economic, social and spatial sciences.
