We’re Hiring: Technical Senior Business Analyst We are looking for a Technical Senior Business Analyst to join the internal consulting team of pur client for an exciting transformation project within the financial sector. 📍
Location:
Luxembourg, on-site 📅 Start: ASAP, latest 1 September 2026 💼 Type: Contract / Freelance 🌍 Languages: Fluent English ⚠️ Important: This is NOT a Senior Python Engineer position . We are looking for a Business Analyst who understands Python well beyond basic Jupyter Notebook usage and can bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. 🎯 Your responsibilities
- Analyse reporting processes and existing workflows, translating business needs, reporting rules and data logic into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Support the transformation and migration of reporting workflows into scalable Python-based solutions , ensuring accuracy, traceability and appropriate controls.
- Develop and maintain clean, tested and production-ready Python automation tools using Git and following team standards.
- Collaborate with senior consultants, analysts and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, prioritise improvements and communicate progress.
- Validate and reconcile reporting outputs, troubleshoot issues and document end-to-end workflows .
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and automation. 🧩
Your profile
Experience
- 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in Business Analysis, process automation, reporting transformation or a hybrid business/technology role .
- Experience with financial and risk reporting , ideally within the financial sector. Must-have technical skills
- 🐍 Python – practical understanding beyond notebook-based scripting.

- 📊 Strong interest in data, reporting and process analysis . Nice to have
- SQL
- Advanced Excel
- Regulatory or investment reporting
- AI-assisted development 🤝 Soft skills
- Ability to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams and translate complex requirements into practical, well-structured solutions.
- Structured, proactive and collaborative mindset.
- Strong analytical, communication and ownership skills.
- Comfortable working in an on-site consulting environment.
