The Directorate of Sourcing and Organisation Management (SOMA) plays a key role in supporting the efficient operation of within the Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC). It covers human resources and sourcing strategies, financial, procurement and contract management, as well as providing publication and printing services for organisational clients. The Printing Unit (PRINTING) is an operational unit based in Parliament’s three working places. It ensures the provision of a wide range of high-quality printed products, including legislative and protocol documents, promotional and communication materials, as well as stationery.
Responsibilities and tasks:
The Printing Unit is looking for a contractual agent (function group I), as Technical officer in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will support the Printing Unit with the following tasks:
• Document finishing activities regarding cutting, folding, collating, stapling, gluing and binding of printed documents;
• Use digital production presses to ensure a smooth and high-quality production flow;
• Perform effective inventory management to ensure the continuity of the production process;
• Carry out the mentioned tasks with high versatility according to production requirements. What we are looking for: Knowledge and skills

• Very good team spirit and communication skills
• A very good command of English or French is necessary, and a good knowledge of the other language would be an asset.

This is a contractual agent role in function group I. As per EU regulations, the initial contract would last 1 year, and subject to conditions, a first renewal up to 5 years and second indefinite renewal could be possible.
