• Lead the key architectural and technology decisions on the project
• Design and document complex distributed architectures for new platforms and modernisation initiatives
• Design patterns for integrating AI solutions into enterprise applications
• Define the infrastructure and system requirements on Azure or AWS
• Review code and deliverables to make sure they follow best practices and the agreed architecture
• Set up performance testing frameworks, make sure systems are tested against cyber threats, and promote observability (monitoring, logging, tracing)
• Stay hands-on: build prototypes, core frameworks and critical components, and solve complex technical issues
• Break architectural initiatives down into tasks, coordinate them with the developers and follow their progress
• Coach developers and drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools for code generation, QA and security scans What you bring
• Solid experience designing secure, resilient distributed architectures
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot
• Good command of PostgreSQL: design, query optimisation and management
• Deep understanding of application security and secure coding practices
• Practical experience with observability in production environments
• Real experience integrating AI into applications, and daily use of AI developer tools such as coding assistants and AI-driven QA or security tools
• First experience with Claude Code is a strong plus
• Clear technical writing and a natural ability to guide and support developers
• Fluent in English or French (C1 minimum) with a good working level in the other (B2)
