Overview
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the deployment of a new IT infrastructure for a new building or office location. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering all infrastructure-related activities, ensuring the new site is fully operational on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end infrastructure deployment for a new building, including network, Wi-Fi, telecommunications, and IT equipment. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and external service providers throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and risk assessments. Plan and oversee the installation of structured cabling, network equipment, wireless access points, and connectivity services. Ensure seamless integration with existing corporate IT infrastructure and security standards. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, Internet, VPN, and Wi-Fi performance. Coordinate ISP provisioning, internet circuits, and telecommunication services. Schedule and supervise infrastructure vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Monitor project progress, manage dependencies, and proactively mitigate risks. Organize project meetings, provide regular status updates, and communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders. Ensure all documentation, network diagrams, asset inventories, and operational procedures are completed and handed over to the support teams. Coordinate infrastructure testing, user acceptance, and go-live activities. Ensure compliance with company standards, cybersecurity policies, and health & safety requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience managing IT infrastructure deployment projects. Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies (switching, routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS). Solid understanding of Wi-Fi technologies, wireless site deployments, and connectivity troubleshooting. Experience coordinating structured cabling, telecommunications, and internet service providers. Strong understanding of infrastructure project planning and vendor management. Experience working with multiple contractors and external service providers. Knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure environments and cloud connectivity is an advantage. Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent). Excellent organizational and planning skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is preferred. Networking certifications (Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Aruba, Fortinet, etc.) are considered an asset.
