Proven track record of developing and executing policy communications campaigns - Comprehensive understanding of the international media and policy landscape where it intersects with Amazon's interests - Demonstrated experience in public affairs, public relations or journalism at a senior level - Proven ability to lead and manage complex stakeholder relationships - Experience in developing strategic communications campaigns and develop relevant materials for senior stakeholders - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences - Fluency in English
Amazon is seeking a senior Communications professional to coordinate and initiate national and international policy communications initiatives across our international business areas. In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies in close collaboration with our public policy and other corporate teams. These will support Amazon's policy objectives while building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at international, regional, and national levels in diverse jurisdictions around the world. You will also be responsible for developing key campaigns on policy topics. Working from our one of our European locations (Luxembourg, Brussels or Berlin would be preferred options but others would be considered), you will collaborate with corporate PR and public policy teams to devise and implement strategies that protect and enhance Amazon's reputation. You will manage complex communications programs where strategy may not be fully defined, requiring you to assess trends, analyse performance, and make recommendations that address business priorities. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to navigate complex policy landscapes while delivering impactful communications outcomes. Key job responsibilities - Develop and execute proactive communications campaigns supporting Amazon's key policy objectives - Lead program implementation in collaboration with internal teams across major capitals not just in Europe but around the world - Develop narratives and speaking points for external communications that include research projects and collaboration with external bodies - Create and manage content and assets, including oversight of agency-produced deliverables - Serve as an Amazon spokesperson for policy-related media inquiries - Drive international alignment to ensure consistent policy communications across regions - Develop both proactive and reactive communication materials around sometimes complex policy topics - Build and maintain relationships with policy commentators, media representatives - Assess communication strategies and provide data-driven recommendations for optimisation
