The HR Assistant supports the Human Resources Manager by handling daily employee administration tasks and HR project implementation tasks.
This role helps ensure smooth HR operations, contributes to employee experience and wellbeing, and assists in key processes such as recruitment, onboarding, recordkeeping, and HR communications.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Administrative & Clerical Support**
- Maintain and update employee records (digital and physical)
- Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts, onboarding packets, and company policies
- Manage HR calendars, schedule interviews and meetings
**Recruitment & Onboarding**
- Post job openings on internal and external job boards
- Assist with onboarding processes, including orientation scheduling and paperwork
**Employee Relations Support**
- Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
- Help organize employee engagement activities and events
- Support HR team with employee surveys and feedback collection
**Compliance & Recordkeeping**
- Ensure HR files and documentation comply with legal and company standards
- Assist with HR audits and reporting
- Track attendance, leave records, and related HR metrics
**Benefits & Payroll Assistance**
- Help with benefits enrollment and employee changes
- Support payroll preparation by providing relevant data (e.g., attendance, leaves)
**Qualifications**
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 2-3 years of HR experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and German, French would be an asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus
