The Risk Management Department within Lombard Odier (Europe) S.A. is in charge of the anticipation, identification, measurement, monitoring, control and reporting of all risks to which the bank is or may be exposed, including both Financial Risks and Operational Risks.

In this context, the Risk Management Department monitors existing and emerging risks, assess them and report them to the senior management, the Group and the competent regulators. It supports the business in managing their risks, providing guidance to continuously promote risk awareness.

The Risk Management department is currently looking for a student/trainee for a 6 months period (minimum), starting from 01/01/2025.

The job offers the possibility to acquire a good overview of the organization and the business activity of an international private bank, offering wealth management and related services to High Net Worth Individuals with offices in 6 different markets in Europe and the Head Quarter in Luxembourg.

YOUR ROLE:
Contribute to adequate management of the applicable risk type(s) by covering various tasks in the department in close cooperation with the Senior Risk Managers and other control and business functions in the different offices of the Bank (including its Head Office in Switzerland):

- Financial Risks: Contribute to the Bank’s Financial Risk Management and perform relevant periodic and ad hoc controls (mainly credit and liquidity risk related controls);
- Operational Risks: Contribute to administrative tasks in the area of operational incident management, new business initiatives, assistance in Risk and Control Self Assessments, etc);
- General: Assist in administrative tasks in the area of Risk Management;
- LOESA Risk Reporting: Contribute to the monthly LOESA Risk Dashboard and the preparation of the Risk Management Committee meeting and any other internal or external reporting related to Risk Management

YOUR PROFILE:

- Ongoing studies in Master/ BA in Finance, Economics or related area
- Results-oriented, organisation/ prioritisation of tasks
- Open minded and quick learner
- Rigorous analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Understanding of the financial markets and products
- Basic knowledge of risk management techniques
- Knowledge in macros and/or VBA is an additional advantage
- Language skills: English and French compulsory. Any other languages a plus.
