**CMDB Architect**

**Location**: Remote possible

**Job Overview**:
As a CMDB Architect at [Your Company Name], you will play a pivotal role in managing our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensuring that it meets the evolving needs of our organization. You will collaborate closely with the data modelling team, development team, and various IT services across the organization to maintain data integrity, design and develop Netbox architecture, and order the development of Netbox plugins to consume data models. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation while adhering to infrastructure as code principles.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Data Model Validation: Collaborate with the data modelling team to validate and refine data models, ensuring they accurately represent the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Data Integrity: Implement and maintain processes to ensure data integrity and consistency across all IT services within the organization.
- Netbox Architecture: Evaluate and enhance the architecture of Netbox to ensure it is fit for purpose and aligned with the organization's needs.
- Plugin Development: Work closely with the development team to order the development of Netbox plugins that consume data models and support data synchronization.
- Business Requirements: Engage with various IT services and stakeholders across the organization to understand their business requirements and translate them into effective CMDB solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of CMDB processes, data models, architecture, and plugin specifications.
- Training and Education: Provide guidance and education to teams and individuals within the organization on CMDB best practices and data management principles.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in CMDB management and architecture design.
- Experience in software architecture is a real asset.
- Strong understanding of data modelling principles and practices.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools.
- Development experience and knowledge of development principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

**Requirements**:
Must fulfil the requirements to obtain an EU security clearance
