Head of Engineering

**The Role**:
Leveraging the latest advances in cloud technologies, we are seeking for an experienced and highly skilled Head of Engineering to join our dynamic tech team.

Reporting to the CTO, as the Head of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence and innovation within our organization. You will take charge of our software development initiatives, guiding and mentoring a team of skilled engineers. With a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of our platform, ensuring its continuous evolution and market leadership. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions that meet our business objectives.

**What You Will Do**:

- As a part of your collaboration with the CTO, product managers and other cross-functional teams, to drive innovation, address technical debt, advance our system architecture, and improve our processes while meeting our overall product and business goals
- Provide technical leadership to the engineering team, establishing a vision and road-map for the platform's growth and development
- Lead and manage a team of talented full stack software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, attracting, mentoring, and retaining top engineering talent
- Lead the full software development life-cycle, from planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment
- Drive engineering best practices, quality assurance, and adherence to coding standards, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the platform
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and promote knowledge sharing.
- Design and develop scalable and maintainable software components, ensuring high code quality and adherence to best practices

**What YOU will bring to the team**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience (5+ years) as either Head of Engineering, Engineering Manager, or a similar technical leadership role
- Demonstrable experience in leading and growing high performing engineering teams
- Strong technical background with expertise in software development, system architecture, and engineering best practices
- Track record of successfully leading and managing cross-functional engineering teams, fostering collaboration, and driving results
- Experience with scalable, high-traffic and data intensive platforms, cloud-based architectures (GCP, AWS), and microservices
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and data engineering concepts
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
