As an Internal Auditor at Goodman, you will test and evaluate the internal operational, governance and compliance control systems. You will make recommendations in order to improve their effectiveness and to follow up on their effective remediation. Next to the group’s European-wide operations, a specific focus will be on the Luxembourg based investment funds and their management companies.

You will support the global internal audit team based in Sydney, Australia in implementing the group’s audit plan and support the risk management process.

More concretely, this means you are committed:

- To gain a solid understanding of Goodman’s activities and operational risks;
- In alignment with the global internal audit function, to establish and drive the audit programme for Continental Europe and report findings to the Group Risk and Compliance Committee;
- To identify key business risks and regulatory requirements;
- To dig deep into the audit results and translate the identified risks into business issues;
- To validate the adequacy and effectiveness of remediation plans prepared by business owners, to address shortcomings identified in prior audits;
- To involve and liaise with external consultants to support the execution of the internal audit plan

As a member of the Compliance Team based in Luxembourg you will be working in close collaboration with the wider European compliance and risk teams in the different countries. The role requires also close alignment and regular communication with the group internal audit function based in Sydney, Australia.

Do you recognize yourself?
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance or Engineering or equivalent experience;
- Minimum 7 years of experience in internal auditing (ideally a combination of consulting assignments and in-house internal audit roles);
- Excellent communicator in English;
- Able to provide critical but constructive input and make effective recommendations;
- Being highly professional with high integrity and interpersonal skills;
- Able to travel to other offices in Europe;
- Real estate experience is considered a plus;
- Regulatory knowledge of Luxembourg based investment funds environment is a plus.
