Associate - Risk and Fund Operations

The successful hire will be responsible for a portfolio of UCITS and / or AIF clients (with liquid or illiquid assets), overseeing the IFM delegates and service providers, performing the financial and operational risk monitoring of the Funds, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the senior management. To do this you must develop strong relationships across teams and cultural backgrounds, independency and organizational skills. The role requires ongoing interaction with clients, delegates and service providers. To work, at a high level, together with leading names in Europe, namely fund promoters, asset managers, depositary banks, and transfer agents, CSSF and external auditors.
- Your main duties and responsibilities:_
- Carry out the permanent oversight of the funds activities and risk performed either internally or by external providers (e.g. market risk, operational risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, investment compliance, NAV errors, operational incidents, Annual Audit
- Three permanent openings in the team,
- Support the Permanent Risk Management Function on the preparation of the regulatory reports (Annual Report, UCITS semiannual report, assessment of the fund’s risk profile, etcetera);
- Assist clients with a variety of daily operational queries and implementation of the regulatory framework of the funds managed (ESMA Guidelines, UCITS, AIFMD, EMIR, SFTR, AML/KYC, eligibility of assets, performance fees, distribution, etcetera);
- Ensure follow-up, escalation and resolution of issues as required (e.g. active compliance breaches, NAV calculation errors, operational incidents, audit findings, etcetera);
- Provide assistance to the Conducting Persons of Waystone Management Company in the context of their investment fund/management company mandates;
- Prepare and review internal and external monthly reports;
- Present, when required, Management Company Reports in Fund’s Board Meetings;
- Complete administrative tasks for external clients such as quarterly board report preparation, meeting minute-taking, etcetera;
- Be involved in projects relating to internal processes and/or regulatory changes.
- Your Profile :_
- You will hold a University degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Financial Management or in a similar field from a recognized business school or university;
- You will have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience within the Luxembourg Fund Industry;
- Knowledge of Luxembourg UCITS and /or AIF market and regulations;
- You will have excellent client management and presentation skills;
- You like to work in a very dynamic and multicultural environment and have good interpersonal skills;
- You are well organized and able to work independently;
- You are fluent in English. Any other mainstream language would be an advantage.
