Our client is a human-sized asset manager offering a diverse and generalist compliance role mixing regulatory and AML work. You will join a team of two in compliance and report into the Conducting Officer. This is an excellent chance to receive a strong learning curve in a supportive environment
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure compliance of the company with applicable regulations
- Undertaking ongoing compliance monitoring on the basis of a risk-based compliance monitoring programme;
- Undertaking compliance risk assessments;
- Assessing the appropriateness of internal policies, procedures and guidelines;
- Perform initial and ongoing AML-ATF risk assessments of new clients / existing clients, and ensure periodic update and review of AML-ATF documentation
- Drafting policies and best practice procedures;
- Oversee the activities which have been delegated to external parties (i.e. Registrar and Transfer Agents activities)
- Being part of the onboarding process of the new client;
- Providing advice and assisting the staff of the AIFM on the regulatory implications of actual and new regulations and changes to the business;
- Raising staff’s awareness to comply with AIFM rules and regulations;
- Perform legal watch to ensure the Company’s compliance;
**Requirements**:
- University-educated - Law degree and LLM will be considered as an asset;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (AIFM, UCITS ManCo or PSF)
- Knowledge of the AIFMD or UCITS CSSF Circulars related to compliance;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English, another language is favourable;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
