**Financial Accountant (M/F)**
**Mission**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Post month end routine journal entries and review
- Post bank reconciliations and performs peer reviews
- Prepare investment activity journal entries and review investment reconciliations
- Review balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist in monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information including financial statements
- Maintain and analyse various general ledger accounts through general journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals and closings (monthly, quarterly and annually)
- Understand how data flows through the financial systems to the accounting function in order to identify issues and take action to address them
- Work with other team members to meet internal and external deadlines set by management and regulator
- Support Accounting team, Financial controlling team and CFO with ad-hoc projects
- Assist with audit preparation and facilitation
- Document controls and processes, identify and evaluate opportunities for process improvements to gain efficiencies
- Collaborate with other administrative disciplines to ensure successful onboarding and completion of integration processes of acquisitions
**Profile**:
Profile
- Degree educated in Finance or Accounting
- At least 3 years of relevant professional working experience in a similar role within a re/insurance company, or within practice auditing (re)/insurance companies
- Fluency in English - a good level in French is also expected
- Knowledge of MS Dynamics will be a clear asset
- Team-player and ability to work independently
- Ethical and sense of privacy are impeccable
- Meticulous and details-oriented
- Well organized
