**About the Company**:
Established in 2013 Cryptopay is one of the oldest and well-respected bitcoin platforms, which allows users to buy, sell and store bitcoins, as well as facilitating global money transfers without the use of a bank.

**About the role**:
Due to the existing financial accountant being on maternity leave an exciting opportunity has arisen in our Finance Team for a Financial Accountant. Working closely with the Director of Finance this role will be responsible for managing key elements of the accounting and financial control function.

Specifically, the individual will be responsible for the management of the ledger for the group entities within Xero as well as preparing month end management accounts. Additional tasks include:

- Maintaining accounting ledger of group entities within Xero
- Preparing bank reconciliation
- Preparing exchange/wallet reconciliation
- Supporting payroll process
- Assisting with VAT returns
- Supporting external audit requirements

There will also be significant opportunities to work closely with commercial partners and product teams.

**Qualification and experience**:

- Experience of working within a finance function
- Qualified or part qualified accountant
- Excellent knowledge of Excel including use of formulas for problem solving
- Familiarity of a month end process and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve reconciliation issues
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and interact with colleagues remotely via video calls
- Committed team player who is proactive in offering support to colleagues in order to meet reporting deadlines
- Financial services experience is desirable but not essential
