Within the framework of the **Luxembourg **based activities, Waystone is looking for a:
**Senior Associate - Compliance**

Job purpose:_**

The Senior Associate - Compliance will need experience of UCITS and AIFMD regulations. He/she will provide technical compliance support to the Head of Compliance Luxembourg, to Waystone Management Company (Lux) SA Limited and its affiliate entities. He/she will primarily focus on RC mandates for key clients of Waystone Management Company (Lux) SA.

**_Your main duties and responsibilities:_**
- Undertake RC (MLRO) services for UCITS and AIFs on behalf of certain clients and ensuring the respective AML policies at Fund level are implemented
- Draft and/or update of policies / procedures for clients
- Assist in the identification, review, and reporting of relevant Compliance KPIs for management
- Support with regulatory interaction and correspondence

**_Day to Day duties could be summarized as follows: _**
- Preparation of the RC reports for the Board meeting on a quarterly basis / Attend to the Board meetings
- Review of the KPIs provided by the Fund Transfer Agent
- Preparation of the annual AML/CTF report
- Update of the AML/CTF Policy of the fund
- Update the AML/CTF Risk assessment of the fund
- Manage TA escalations
- Completion and review of Market entry form
- Prepare and present regulatory updates for the Board of the fund when/where necessary
- Review of TA procedure
- Handle queries from CSSF
- AED notification for RAIF
- Reporting to the FIU where/when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with internal clients to build respect and resolve any potential issues
- Actively question methods and processes with the key to making the team more effective and efficient
- Escalate all material issues as and when they arise to the Head of Compliance (Lux)
- Assist in the management of the Breaches and Escalation procedure to ensure that all matters are followed up, concluded and appropriately logged and reported
- Assist with developing/implementing corrective action plans resulting from Regulatory inspections, external or internal reviews e.g. internal audit.
- Ensure all periodic regulatory filings are submitted on a timely and accurate basis

Your profile_**

**Education**:

- An internationally recognized degree and/or professional qualification in Finance, Economics or Law
- Professional certification in Compliance would be an advantage

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ relevant experience in compliance within the financial sector
- Strong knowledge of UCITS and AIFMD regulations
- Knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory landscape and a clear ability to interpret and understand the implications of new regulations. Exposure or experience of other Jurisdictions is a plus
- Strong time management, organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail is required
- Strong working knowledge of Fund documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Strong MS Office skills: information management software experience is necessary at a senior level.
- RC experience will be considered as a key advantage.
