**Senior Corporate Banking Expert - Luxembourg Market (Contract/Consulting)**

We are currently responding to a Request for Proposal involving a strategic **benchmarking assessment** for the Corporate Banking division of a leading local bank in Luxembourg. As part of this initiative, we are seeking to engage a **Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME)** in **Corporate Banking**, with deep, first-hand experience in the Luxembourg market.

The core focus of the engagement is to evaluate **operational efficiency**, with a particular emphasis on **advisor productivity and end-to-end process effectiveness**. The ultimate objective is to identify practical, high-impact areas for improvement and support actionable recommendations.

**What We’re Looking For**

We are seeking a **hands-on senior expert**, not a project manager, with proven field experience in:

- **Corporate banking processes** - from onboarding to credit, servicing, and beyond
- **Operational efficiency in corporate banking** - understanding bottlenecks, cost drivers, and productivity levers
- **Local market expertise** - Luxembourg and bordering regions (Germany, Belgium, France)
- **Advisory mindset** - ideally a **former senior corporate banker**, such as a Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking Director, or Head of Corporate Division

This is a **specialist consulting role**, best suited for someone who has sat in the business and can offer practical insights based on real experience in corporate banking operations.

**Ideal Profile**
- 10+ years in corporate/commercial banking roles
- Deep operational knowledge of corporate banking environments
- Fluency in **Luxembourg-specific market dynamics**:

- Strong analytical thinking and ability to support benchmarking and improvement initiatives
- Former experience in a leadership or advisory capacity is a plus
