Tax Expert Officer - Wholesale Banking

As part of the strengthening of its Wholesale Banking business line, ING Luxembourg is looking for a Tax Expert Officer
- Wholesale Banking.

Your mission

As a Tax Expert Officer - Wholesale Banking, you will be responsible for analyzing files and situations from a tax, legal and compliance perspective for a Wholesale Banking clientele.

As such, you will be in charge of:

- Providing expert support in tax matters to the Wholesale Banking sales representatives in their commercial approaches;
- Provide this service in full compliance with the interests of the client and the Bank and the applicable regulations, particularly in terms of identifying, managing and controlling of risk;
- Follow the national and international tax and legal news to ensure this commercial support.
- Drafting recommendations and guidelines to support and facilitate the commercial teams and the business support team.
- Training and informing the different WSB teams to increase or maintain their knowledge in of tax, legal and compliance matters.
- Interface with the Bank's various experts in risk management and more specifically Corporate Tax, Legal and Compliance.

Your profile

Knowledge and experience:

- University degree in law ideally complemented by a specialization in tax law and corporate law.
- Minimum experience of 5 years in a law firm, a consulting firm or in a similar function within a financial institution.
- An experience in a financial institution and a good knowledge of the corporate department business would be real added value.

Skills:

- Good knowledge of Luxembourg and international tax law and corporate law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commercial sense and negotiation skills
- Good analytical, organizational and synthesis skills;
- Proactivity to challenge and pragmatic solution oriented
- Languages: Oral and written knowledge of French and English is essential;
- Fluency in any other language will be considered an asset
