General Objective of the Internship
I. Market watch competition
- Market study and creation of competitor map (Plant location, installation structure, product & installation cycles, implementation market, analysis of production).
- Integrate to the study competitors that aren’t from same industry such as Titanium dioxide, sulfur, chemical producers
- Create a commercial report that includes leading and lagging indicators by country, segment, channel, category, and competitors
- Prepare a monthly report about commercial performance, deviations and corrections proposed to BPS Team
- Analyze, detect, and propose corrective actions in case of deviations from requested goals
II. Market Intelligence
- Support Sales and Marketing department with market intelligence and research
- Report trends that are influencing our business for the future and calculate impact
- Create and set up tools to analyze the market situation of customers or competitors. From custom data, marine flowsprovide market information to Lead Sellers.
- Use technical economics approaches to calculate production/freight costs or values in use.
- Collect information regarding steel by-products markets
III. Data management
- Manage the by-products sales database (BSME, By-products Sales, Marketing and Excellence): access authorization, update Customer/Product data, update parameters as exchange rates, first level coherence check. Exchange with employees from European plants to collect sales information
- Prepare data and/or reporting presentations for meetings
