SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Overall role is to be part of the Compliance Advisory Teamt of Aberdeen Standard Investments Luxembourg SA. The role will report to the Head of Compliance and will support the Conducting Officer responsible for the Compliance function also acting as Compliance Officer in fulfilling regulatory obligations with regards to Management Company and AIFM business activities.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
To support Aberdeen Standard Investments Luxembourg SA. (“Management Company/AIFM”) in ensuring compliance with its activities, giving required advice, and providing required reporting.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide regulatory advice to the business and general support to all areas of Compliance operations as directed by Reporting Line Manager.
- To assist in the maintenance of positive and constructive relations with Aberdeen’s regulators and external auditors.
- To provide advice to the business on a number of projects including new fund launches and other fund related project.
- To advice on interpretation of the regulatory rules impacting the business and undertaking required gap analysis / assessing their impact on the business.
- To prepare compliance reporting to the Management Company/AIFM’s Board and Executive committee, to the group compliance function, as well as to Fund boards
- To oversee regulatory reporting requirements and deadlines
- To deliver compliance training to the company’s employees
- To maintain the various compliance registers including complaints register, regulatory, conflict of interest, and personal account dealing.
