**Position Summary**

BNYM SA/NV Luxembourg Branch provides a broad range of Trustee & Depositary services to its clients pursuant to the provisions of AIFMD and UCITS in a regulatory compliant manner to ensure on-going compliance with all applicable regulations and policies with a strong focus on service quality as well as solid controls.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Support the depositary business and direct the analysis and identification of existing and proposed regulatory requirements and industry practices that have an impact on the business processes, and to help the business area develop and implement procedures to meet these requirements.
- Supports the Head of Luxembourg Trustee & Depositary in various business matters and acts as a delegate in various forums, including the EMEA Trust & Depositary senior management team.
- Responsible for the CSSF reporting requirements at a Depositary level as well as internal Business Regulatory Controls Report.
- As necessary, represent Luxembourg Trustee & Depositary in direct engagement with the regulators.
- Escalation point for complex regulatory issues and provides advice and guidance to staff on appropriate solutions through to resolution. Support the business from a regulatory perspective with research, developing methodologies, protocols and processes to facilitate or improve depositary oversight.
- Partners with business unit managers to respond to findings of regulators and/or auditors.
- Responsible for collaborating with colleagues across the EMEA Trustee & Depositary locations to ensure as far as possible the implementation of harmonised solutions to regulatory provisions to ensure the provision of best
- in-class Depositary services to all EMEA Trustee & Depositary clients.
- Participates in internal/external regulatory forums (BNYM, E&Y, ALFI) to get updates on Luxembourg on UCITS and AIFMD related funds. Attends the BNYM EMEA Regulatory Forum and internal working groups.
- Responsible for the Internal Risk Assessments (Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Tax Evasion)
- Chairs internal committees as necessary. Acts as central point of contact for Group Compliance from a Depositary operations perspective. Provides oversight for all internal and external compliance/audit inspections.
- Leading and developing team member(s).

**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.

**Experience**:

- 10-15 years of total work experience is preferred with at least 3-5 years in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of the Funds Industry laws, regulations and custody operations applicable to the funds business
- Sound expertise in Custody and Custody related matters,
- In depth knowledge of depositary duties and responsibilities, particularly the provisions of AIFMD, UCITS V and related regulations
- Control and risk minded
- Strong command of English. Any additional languages would be considered as an advantage
- Ability to work against tight deadlines.
- Ability to produce work to an extremely accurate and well-documented level.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of MS Office VBA would be an asset;
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to analyse data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis;
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills;
- Ability to identify logical and innovative solutions to complex problems;
- Self-motivated, innovative and analytical;
- Possess good understanding of data migration, testing and reconciliations;
- Process improvement experiences/ LEAN skills e.g. to design/establish new detailed processes, documentation skills, e.g. procedures/manual are an advantage.
