Credit Risk Manager

**Department Profile**:
RiverBank’s Risk Department is an important part of the Bank’s second line of defence. The Risk staff cover the management and monitoring of the credit risk process including the organisation of the risk committees as well as risk analyses, stress testing programmes, the Bank’s ICLAAP and Recovery Plan and other strategic projects. The Risk Department is also monitoring on an ongoing basis the regulatory requirements issued by the CSSF, the BCL, the EBA, the BCBS, the ECB and the ESMA where relevant in consideration of the Bank’s business model and activities.

**Primary Responsibilities include**:

- Present to Credit Committee the internal risk assessment on new deals including limit usage and funding
- Prepare Credit Committee minute notes and Engagement Letters based on decisions made
- Ensure all conditions precedent are fulfilled with satisfactory content, prior to loans being disbursed
- On-going monitoring of loan portfolio covenants, conditions subsequent and annual updates of ratings
- Prepare documents for ALCO, Watchlist Committee and Loan Monitoring Committee and meeting notes
- Ensure documentation of risk policies & methodologies in place and up-to-date, initiate changes if required
- Support the Risk Department on general risk and operational risk topics
- Assist in the specification and development of credit monitoring technology for the loan portfolio
- Bring fresh ideas on topics generally including data retrieval, credit risk procedures and limit monitoring

**Qualification and Experience**:

- At least 5 years’ experience in Credit Risk within a banking environment
- Significant generalist risk knowledge, incl. experience with risk-related regulations (CRR, EBA ITS, Anacredit)
- Experience of day-to-day business operational procedures
- Extensive knowledge of Banking (preferably Commercial Banking) and working in a regulated environment
- Evidence of providing challenge e.g. where business strategy or plans exceeded risk appetite and tolerance
- Ability to influence and advise senior management on risk e.g. Bank’s exposure relative to limit thresholds
- Strong analytical, problem solving and data analysis skills
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- University degree/ professional qualification in finance, mathematics, banking
- Fluency in English required with Dutch, German and/or French language desirable
