**OBJECTIVE**
The Senior Credit Risk Consultant will coordinate the development of our Client’s risk policies and credit risk guidelines, support preparations for the Internal Risk Committee and the Board Risk Committee. He/She will work within the credit risk and governance team to assess and monitor a selection of issuers and counterparties and will prepare and develop credit risk reports for both the internal and external risk committees on our Client’s portfolios, service providers, and loan positions.
**SERVICES DESCRIPTION**
- Monitor and coordinate the review process for risk policies across all risk areas
- Keep informed on emerging best practices, new Basel standards, and other international standards in risk management
- Proactively prepare risk committee agendas and ensure meetings, including preparation of minutes to an excellent standard
- Ensure follow-up on meeting agenda items, as appropriate
- Assess and monitor a selection of issuers and counterparties
- Prepare and develop credit risk reports for risk committees on investment portfolios, loan exposures, and service providers
- Review and update credit risk policies and control procedures
- Support the development of credit risk methodologies
**PROFILE**
**Technical & functional skills**
- Advanced university degree in finance, risk management, economics, business administration, or related fields
- More than 6 years of relevant experience in risk management, risk policies, and credit risk, preferably acquired in international financial institutions, multilateral development organizations, or central banks
- In-depth understanding of risk management governance principles, regulation, methodologies, and tools across different risk areas: market risk, operational risk and, more importantly, credit risk
- Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI) skills
- Excellent oral and written English skills; any additional language would be an asset
