DESCRIPTION

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth, constantly improving how we fulfill and deliver orders right to our customers' doorsteps. The Last Mile Rental (LMR) team is at the forefront of this mission, pioneering an innovative vehicle sharing program that enables more flexible and efficient delivery operations. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing program within Amazon Logistics and help shape the future of last-mile delivery.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in business development, vendor management, or category management to drive the expansion of our vehicle sharing partnerships. You'll own the development and execution of strategic relationships with Fleet Management Companies (FMCs), rental providers, and direct vendors across multiple countries. Your ability to build and manage long-term strategic partnerships, navigate complex negotiations, and drive results will be crucial in scaling our program and helping us exceed customer expectations through innovative delivery solutions.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop Strategic Partnerships: Create and execute expansion strategies for our vehicle sharing program, identifying and securing partnerships with fleet management companies, rental providers, and direct vendors
- Lead Complex Negotiations: Navigate high-stakes contract negotiations to optimize our vehicle sharing programs and drive long-term value
- Drive Operational Excellence: Implement performance management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage Relationships: Build and nurture long-term strategic relationships with key partners, ensuring alignment with Amazon's goals and customer-centric approach
- Analyze and Optimize: Leverage data-driven insights to continuously improve program performance and identify new growth opportunities

A day in the life
Your day might begin by reviewing performance metrics with LMR Providers, identifying opportunities to improve quality of service and drive cost efficiencies. You'll then lead negotiations with a partner to expand their program into new markets, while pushing for implementation of new product developments that better serve our customers. The afternoon could involve collaborating with program managers on addressing operational challenges, followed by working with product teams to align partner capabilities with new solutions. You'll analyze market data to build business cases for cost-saving initiatives, and engage with stakeholders across Amazon Logistics to ensure alignment on program priorities. Throughout the day, you'll maintain strategic relationships with LMR Providers, balancing their business needs with Amazon's goals for innovation and efficiency in our vehicle sharing program.

About the team
You'll be joining a dynamic team of product and process improvement managers who combine strategic thinking with operational excellence. We're a collaborative group that thrives on solving complex challenges and driving innovation in the last-mile delivery space. Our team maintains a startup mindset while leveraging Amazon's scale to create lasting impact. We value diverse perspectives and are passionate about mentoring and developing our team members as we continue to grow and expand our program globally.
